Description

Enjoy a day of guided botanical observations and sketching on a beautiful farm in the rolling Howardian Hills with Kate Pettitt (artist) and Frances Standen (conservationist, farmer and protected landscape management specialist). Frances will tell you about the abundance of wildflowers, berries and fungi on the site, while Kate will guide your sketch book observations and techniques to collect useful visual information while out in the landscape.

Maximum of six people per workshop.

Workshop costs include tea/coffee and home made cake.

Bring your own materials. Kate will have some materials available to purchase on the day if you need them.

Home made charcoal and fresh home grown produce will be available to buy and in the autumn, you can pick your own sunflowers too!

Full details are on the Workshops and Tuition page.

Note that this is an outdoor workshop and some walking will be required on uneven ground. You will need to have relatively good mobility. If we have some showers, we can duck under cover and work in the barn. See terms in the link below for details of our ‘bad weather’ strategy and other information.
